7 Clauses to Check in a Corporate Shuttle Contract

Most problems in employee transportation are born not after service starts but in clauses left vague at contract time. Check these 7 before signing:

1. Service level agreement (SLA)

Punctuality rate (e.g. 98%), maximum delay and the measurement method must be written down — along with the discount or penalty that applies when they are missed.

2. Backup vehicle and driver commitment

How many minutes until a backup vehicle steps in after a breakdown? It must be in writing.

3. Price-increase formula

If the increase is not tied to a defined index (fuel, minimum wage, CPI) at a defined ratio, expect surprise mid-year rises.

4. Insurance coverage

Beyond compulsory seat insurance, check the limits of the carrier's liability insurance.

5. Route and passenger change flexibility

Define how many days it takes to apply changes for new hires and address moves.

6. Reporting obligations

The scope of the monthly operations report (punctuality, occupancy, incident log) should be an annex to the contract.

7. Termination and transition terms

The right to terminate without penalty on sustained under-performance — and transition support — must be included.

Savas Turizm contracts cover all seven transparently. See our corporate contract service.
