The bus your child boards every day is an extension of the school and deserves the same scrutiny. Turkish school bus regulations mandate many safety measures — but parents following up reinforces that safety.
What the regulations require
- Vehicle age limits and periodic inspections
- Seat belts on every seat; appropriate seating for younger children
- A trained attendant supervising boarding and alighting
- School bus signage, stop lamps and compliant equipment
- Drivers with the right licence class, professional certificate and psychometric report
10 questions parents should ask
- How old is the vehicle and when was it last inspected?
- Who is the attendant and what training have they had?
- Is there on-board camera recording, and who can access it?
- Is GPS tracking shared with parents?
- Have the driver's credentials and experience been verified?
- How are boarding and alighting checks performed?
- What is the accident and emergency procedure?
- What does the passenger seat insurance cover?
- Is there a backup vehicle and driver plan?
- Who is the parent contact, and how quickly are issues resolved?
On Savas Turizm school routes, the answers to all of these are documented and open to parents. See our school bus service.
